Sample SWOTSubject: a startup idea

Strengths

About you
  • Co-founder is a practising physiotherapist
  • Prototype already used daily by 3 clinics

Weaknesses

About you
  • Nobody on the team has sold software
  • Prototype only works on a laptop

Opportunities

Around you
  • Most clinics still book on WhatsApp and paper
  • UPI makes small monthly fees easy to collect

Threats

Around you
  • Clinic software suites could add free scheduling
  • Clinic owners are slow to switch tools

Pick what you are analysing

The prompts are written around the subject you choose.

  • My career

Where your professional trajectory is strong, exposed, and open.

  • Me as a founder

Your capabilities and gaps as the person building the thing.

  • My startup idea

The idea itself and where it sits in its market.

  • Something else

Anything else you want to look at strategically.

Product or project work? That has its own tool: the product manager vs project manager quiz.

How it works

You stay the author of your own grid. The AI asks, then reads.

  1. Choose the subject and add a line of context

  2. Get 12 prompts, 3 per quadrant, written for that subject

  3. Answer them as short items you can edit (up to 15 per quadrant)

  4. With at least 2 items in each quadrant, get your TOWS strategy

From SWOT to TOWS

The startup SWOT above, taken to a strategy. A real result has 3 attack, 2 defend, 3 build and 2 avoid moves, 3 blind spots and one next step.

Sample strategy

Strategic position

Strong insider access, but a product that cannot yet reach the people it is for.

  • Attack 路 Strengths 脳 Opportunities

Sell through your co-founder's network: one demo a week to physios who still use a paper diary.

  • Defend 路 Strengths 脳 Threats

Build the one workflow a generic suite will not: physio session packages and home-visit slots.

  • Build 路 Weaknesses 脳 Opportunities

Ship a phone-first booking view before any new feature; front desks run on phones.

  • Avoid 路 Weaknesses 脳 Threats

Do not chase hospital chains yet: long sales cycles plus no sales skill is how runway disappears.

Personal SWOT questions

What is a personal SWOT analysis?

It applies the business SWOT grid to a person: your Strengths and Weaknesses (internal, about you) and the Opportunities and Threats around you (external, about the world).

What is the difference between SWOT and TOWS?

SWOT lists the four factors. TOWS pairs them up to decide what to do: strengths with opportunities (attack), strengths with threats (defend), weaknesses with opportunities (build) and weaknesses with threats (avoid).

How many SWOTs can I run?

One analysis per subject at a time: one each for your career, you as a founder, a startup idea and one subject you describe yourself. A finished SWOT stays in your account until you delete it; then you can run that subject again for 1 credit.

Is it free?

It is free to start: new accounts get 5 credits on sign-up. Each SWOT uses 1 credit, taken when your prompts are written; getting the strategy at the end costs nothing extra.
